America’s #1 buffet and grill to raise funds and offer free dinner for veterans and active-duty personnel for Veterans Day

RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 25, 2022) – Golden Corral is proud to honor our nation’s heroes with a complimentary “thank you” meal on Monday, Nov. 14, in recognition of Veterans Day.

Now in its 22nd year, America’s #1 buffet and grill is inviting all U.S. service members, retired military and veterans of each branch of service to enjoy a free dinner buffet and beverage at their nearest Golden Corral from 5 p.m. to close.

“It is an honor and privilege to serve the true American heroes who selflessly defend our country and protect our freedoms,” said Lance Trenary, president and chief executive officer of Golden Corral. “Military Appreciation Night is one of our most cherished traditions that we look forward to every year. While it pales in comparison to what they do for us, a free meal is our way of showing our appreciation and gratitude for their service and sacrifice.”

Golden Corral restaurants will also be raising funds through guest contributions for Disabled American Veterans, a nonprofit organization that provides lifetime support for veterans of all generations and their families. Founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932, the DAV is composed of more than 1 million members dedicated to keeping America’s promise to veterans. The Military Appreciation Night offer is available at all Golden Corral restaurants nationwide for dine-in only, and it is not applicable for spouses or family members. A military identification is not required to receive the complimentary meal.

A tradition for more than two decades, Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night has served six million free meals to military personnel and generated nearly $18 million in guest contributions to support community-based service initiatives for veterans through DAV.

Golden Corral’s legendary, endless buffet features an abundant variety of quality, made-from-scratch food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can choose from over 100 items, including USDA grilled-to-order steaks, pork, seafood and shrimp alongside traditional favorites like pot roast, fried chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, fresh salads and more. Golden Corral is a restaurant with something for everyone, where guests can come together to eat as they please.
