On June 21, 2021, Philip Murph was appointed the new President & CEO of Lions Services, Inc., after the retirement of Jim Cranford who served in this role for twenty-five years.

After graduating in 2001 with a BS in Computer Information Systems, Mr. Murph applied to over 200 companies trying to obtain employment but was continuously turned down because he is legally blind.  On September 11, 2001, he started working at Lions Services as the Administrative Assistant. Murph strived to learn as much about the company as possible while obtaining his Master's in Business Administration.  Mr. Murph being appointed to his new role encompasses and exemplifies Lions Services’ mission of “Empowering people who are blind to achieve personal and economic independence by providing them vocational rehabilitation and employment opportunities.”  

Lions Services is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides people who are blind or visually impaired employment and vocational rehabilitation opportunities textile manufacturing facility producing textile apparel for the US Department of Defense. 

On September 14, 2022, Lions Services will host an Open House event to celebrate 88 years of providing gainful employment.  Employees and guests will enjoy numerous dignitary speakers highlight the company’s new logo, mission & culture statements which symbolize our bright outlook for a productive future and will kick off our new marketing campaign.  Our redesigned website will be unveiled soon!
