BW Sweets Transitions from Retail to E-Commerce

After 11 years of retail sales, BW Sweets Bakery has made the incredibly difficult decision to close its flagship store on East WT Harris Blvd, Charlotte, NC and has suspended plans to open a satellite store on the west side of the Queen City. Frankie White, known by many as The Cake Man, founded BW Sweets bakery after the untimely passing of his son (and inspiration for the name of the bakery) Bradley White, who passed away from brain cancer in 2011 when he was just 8 years old. Now, in an ironic twist of fate, an unexpected illness is causing Frankie to cease selling his famous sweets in retail locations. But The Cakeman assures us all is not lost. The BW Sweets management team (Frankie White, Jason Zeigler & Adrian Jones) is working diligently to make BW Sweets available via shipping not just to the Queen City, but the entire United States!

According to White, BW Sweets will begin shipping a select menu of its best sellers in early August 2023 through its website https://www.bwsweetsbakery.com. Additionally, be on the lookout for BW Sweets pop-ups around the city.

A personal note from The Cakeman:

I am truly going to miss my “sweetians.” I will miss interacting with my Charlotte family in-person, but this change is necessary to allow me to focus on my health while still providing the best desserts around and continuing to honor Bradley’s memory. As we make this transition, I will never forget who helped build BW Sweets in the first place (Charlotte!), and as a small token of my appreciation, we are offering free shipping for all online orders being delivered in Charlotte. I was born here; I was raised here, and this is where my heart will always be. I love you Charlotte; thank you so much for loving me back.
