  • The Ledger’s managing editor is Ashley Fahey, an award-winning journalist who has been based in Charlotte for nearly a decade. Ashley was most recently managing editor of national content at American City Business Journals, where she also authored a national real estate newsletter. Before that, she served as real estate editor and reporter at the Charlotte Business Journal. Ashley, who joined The Ledger in September 2025, is a graduate of Elon University and lives in Commonwealth Park with her husband.
  • The Ledger’s assistant editor, Lindsey Banks, writes about local communities, nonprofits, small businesses and many other topics. She also produces The Charlotte Ledger Podcast. She joined The Ledger in 2022. She is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and lives in NoDa with her puppy, Winston.
  • The Ledger’s director of business development, Ava Mikeal, joined The Ledger in May 2025. A Charlotte native, she recently returned to her hometown after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill. She focuses on operations, brand awareness, sponsorships and growing strategic partnerships.
  • Brie Chrisman is the Ledger’s operations manager. She is founder and CEO of Boss Co, a business operations and systems strategy agency. Her team focuses on creating streamlined processes on the back end of companies, like The Ledger, so business owners can focus on what they do best.
