This elegant afternoon of live jazz, exquisite cuisine, and meaningful community engagement will raise scholarship funds for high school girls in the Charlotte Metro area pursuing higher education at four-year colleges and universities. This highly anticipated event promises a sophisticated atmosphere filled with smooth jazz and heartfelt connections. Guests will enjoy live performances and a curated dining experience while celebrating the power of education and the promise of our youth. “All proceeds from the Jazz Affair will go directly toward scholarships for exceptional young women in our community,” said a spokesperson for the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation. “This is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of potential and a commitment to creating generational change through education.” The event also honors the legacy of Mrs. Hopie Neal Dawson Perry, a beloved educator and member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., whose passion for education and empowerment inspired the creation of the Yellow Tea Rose Foundation. Since becoming a 501(c)(3) in 2008, the foundation has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships and continues to support women through workshops, career development programs, and personal growth initiatives.
