Join us for a presentation about the Battle of Charlotte Carolina at Trinity Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on March 16, 2026, starting with refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Tom Phlegar will speak at 7 p.m. He will discuss the significance of this area’s part in the struggle for our nation’s independence and the many sacrifices made by our forefathers so that we, as ordinary citizens, may enjoy the liberties we have today.

About the Presenter

Tom Phlegar is a retired US Army Reserve Colonel who has lived in Charlotte for over 50 years. He was a past and current member of the Sons of American Revolution (SAR), and Founder of the chapter Colonial Color Guard. Tom previously served as the president of the Charlotte Folk Society, Docent at the Charlotte Museum of History and a member (and past president) of the Providence Optimist Club.
