Job Summary: This is an essential position in our firm and will play a significant role in the company’s strategic plans to grow and expand the business.


Working collaboratively with the Director of Relationship Development, the Branch Manager & Senior Advisor for the firm’s Charlotte Branch Office, the Relationship Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing relationship-based strategies to identify, attract, and acquire groups and/or individual prospective clients; generate leads using a relationship-based approach; develop meaningful relationships with referral sources and prospective clients to convert prospective clients into new business for the Firm and market the value proposition of the firm’s services and support.


The Firm will provide prospect lists for the first few years to help you establish new relationships, but your ultimate success will be measured by your ability to generate leads and new business opportunities independently.This position is designed to be flexible with regards to your work location. It is expected that a majority of the time you will work remotely from your home office with very frequent trips into the field to meet with prospective clients and/or referral sources. There may be days where you need to come to the office in your area. We have on-site work stations available for the days you need to be in the office.


Job Duties

Develop and implement relationship-based strategies to identify, attract, and acquire groups and/or individual prospective clients.


Use relationship-building techniques to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with referral sources and prospective clients.


Market the Firm’s competitive position as a leader in the industry, the value proposition provided by our services and capabilities, and the strong commitment to our Ethics and Values.


Work in partnership with the Director of Relationship Development and the Firm’s Financial Advisors to develop relationship management initiatives to convert prospective clients into new business for the Firm.


Use a data-driven approach to manage relationships with existing clients to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in training and experience Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Designation is strongly preferred


In lieu of the CFP ®, the Series 65 License is required. Currently licensed is strongly preferred. Incumbent will be given 90-120 days from the date of hire to sit for and pass the Series 65 LicenseExam.

 5-7 years of field sales experience in the financial services industry.

 Strong values and commitment to the highest level of ethics and integrity.

 Highly motivated and driven to achieve performance metrics.

 Demonstrated ability to leverage current relationships and networks, as well as establish and manage new ones with high net worth individuals that can be converted into new business opportunities.

 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of affluent people.

 Proven ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of client accounts and work independently.

 Experience working with desktop applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the Outlook email system,and CRM systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve shared goals.


Salary Range $55,000 - $80,000 does not include new client bonuses
