Job Summary

We are looking for a fun, energetic, friendly, and service-oriented Art Instructor/Sales Associate to work in our art studio located in Charlotte, NC! As an Art Instructor, you will teach, guide and assist customers step by step in creating beautiful fluid art and resin art pieces. You will lead classes and events of up to 20 people. As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their shopping needs while delivering excellent customer service.

While the ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service or sales and art lesson, we will provide training for the Art Instructor aspect of the position.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead fun and energetic fluid art and resin art classes for individuals and groups

• Greet customers and setup classes

• Provide excellent customer service

• Book classes and events with call-ins

• Aid customers with their shopping experience in the art gallery

• Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.

• Assist with marketing efforts, creating content, and posting on social media platforms.

• Maintain and process inventory, display and (re)stock retail items, and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the studio.

• Complete customer sales transactions: operate cash register, collect payments, credit card processing, issue receipts and refunds.

• Develop and maintain solid product knowledge to best assist customers with their art classes/experience selections.

• Provide Responsible food/liquor service, including wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks as wells as catering orders for events.

• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous Art experience beneficial but not required.

• Friendly and outgoing personality

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and excellent interpersonal skills

• Prior sales or customer service experience preferred

• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service

• Ability to and love for teaching and working with kids and people of all abilities and skill levels

• Desire to help customers create memorable experiences

• Willingness to work well in a team and fast-paced environment

• Service industry experience preferred

• Social media experience preferred

• Computer skills

• Time management skills

• Flexible schedule - Availability and willingness to work on Saturdays and evenings

• Must be 21 or older
