Carolina HealthWorks is a new health plan solution tailored specifically for small businesses that are members of a participating local chamber of commerce including the Charlotte Area Chamber of Commerce. Renee Mills, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, will be discussing how your business can access this affordable and competitive healthcare coverage, what the eligibility requirements are, enrollments steps, and of course how this plan can benefit your employees and your bottom line. 

Eligibility includes:

• Employers with 2-50 full-time employees
• Employers that are headquartered in North Carolina
• Employers that are members of the NC Chamber or a participating local chamber of commerce

Renee Mills is the Manager of Regional Sales in the Local group segment at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC), where she leads the 1-99 new business sales team.

With over eighteen years of industry experience, Renee has built a distinguished career in the insurance field. She began on the carrier side, focusing on ancillary lines, before transitioning to the agent side, where she honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the industry, gaining valuable insights into both group and member needs. For the past eight years, Renee has been a key leader at Blue Cross NC in both retention and new sales. She brings a high level of expertise and has a proven track record of exceeding both individual and team goals.

Her dedication to ensuring that members have confidence in their families’ insurance coverage is unmatched. Renee is passionate about the evolving processes within the industry and is committed to aligning her team’s practices with these changes. Her enthusiasm for innovation and excellence is contagious, inspiring her team to reach their full potential.

Outside of work, Renee enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her husband and three children. Whether it’s kayaking, camping, hunting, or simply enjoying the fresh air, nature is her retreat. She also has a lifelong passion for dance, a discipline that nurtured her competitive spirit from a young age. This competitive drive, coupled her extensive industry knowledge, continues to fuel her success and leadership.
