Rachel Brummert will share her story about contracting COVID-19 and how her experience in patient safety and expertise in public health didn’t prepare her for the novel coronavirus COVID-19.



Rachel Brummert, Founder and CEO of Courage to Continue, LLC

Rachel Brummert is Founder and CEO of Courage to Continue, LLC and serves as a Special Government Employee (SGE) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. She is also a contributor at Drugwatch, Medshadow Foundation, and Health Web Magazine. Additionally, she is founding member of the American Society for Pharmacovigilance STRIPE Initiative.


She is a passionate fixture in her community serving on the advisory committee at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Aging and Adult Services, and as a COVID ambassador for Mecklenburg County government.


Rachel collaborates with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and her patient safety work has been featured in Consumer Reports, Washington Post, Web MD, and television media.
