Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace

This workshop explores the business and social aspects of creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. It is designed to introduce employees to the concepts of DEI and to translate what is often an ambiguous topic into practical examples of systemic issues around pay and race, microaggressions and unconscious bias that learners can grasp and appreciate. Participants gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of an inclusive workplace and how to create a safe environment for open dialogue.

Objectives

· Define and understand the differences between diversity, equity and inclusion

· Understand what biases and microaggressions are as related to the work environment

· Learn how to recognize and mitigate biases

· Learn how to create and maintain an inclusive workplace environment

· Identify how DEI impacts businesses
