Braille Trail Community Reveal & Ribbon Cutting Event

Braille Trail Community Reveal & Ribbon Cutting Event

Thursday, May 21, 2026 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Please join us for a ribbon cutting celebration on May 21st, 2026 as Lion Services, Inc unveil the Charlotte Braille Trail, an inspiring new community space.

The Charlotte Braille Trail is not your ordinary trail. This innovative project blends nature, art, and technology into a unique multi-sensory experience designed for everyone. Created to ensure that vision status is never a barrier to a life of choice, career, and connection, the trail provides inclusive infrastructure for Charlotte’s blind and low-vision community while welcoming all residents to experience its beauty and purpose.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore tactile and fragrant landscapes, interactive light and sound sculptures, and bold artistic features—including the striking “360” sculpture with large braille and what may be the world’s largest long cane.

Come celebrate this remarkable milestone and show your support for accessibility, inclusion, and innovation in the Charlotte community—we can’t wait to see you there!
