🌱 The Integration Season:

Why I’m Honoring What I Built—But Not Letting It Define My Worth

When you’re wired for growth, there comes a moment—a quiet one, usually—when you realize that what you built is not the same thing as who you are.

I’ve spent my career building systems that work.  
 Generating results that last.
 And being honored for what I created.

It meant something.

But here’s what means more now:
 I’m finally releasing the idea that my value is tied to the biggest mountain I’ve already climbed.

And it’s a layered process.

Because honoring your own past can look a lot like:

• Grieving a season you outgrew

• Thanking the systems that made you strong (while choosing not to let them run your present)

• Allowing yourself to feel proud… and surprised by how little those external honors fuel your current spirit

Here’s what I know to be true now:
 Growth isn’t just what you do externally.
 It’s the work you do invisibly—on your inner system, your sense of worth, your tenderness in the aftermath of accomplishment.

And integration—this in-between space—
 isn’t soft. It’s sacred.

For me, this season has looked like…

• Gently stepping out of full-scale operational leadership, and into a more strategic, story-driven role

• Trusting my own expertise enough to actually pass the baton to my incredible team

• Owning my past wins—while knowing that my worth never came from them

• Naming my value internally, before seeking evidence for it externally

• Asking more powerful questions about the kind of impact I want to have—not just the metrics I want to hit

Integration = honoring the whole life you led up to now
 without letting it gatekeep who you’re allowed to become next.

LinkedIn is full of stories about momentum.
 Not enough stories about the power of pausing.
 Or pivoting.
 Or honestly… just processing.

So here’s mine:
 I’m proud of what I built.
 But I’m not living within it anymore.
 And that’s not a step back.
 That’s a step in.

If you’re in a season like this—consider this your permission slip:
 Your worth isn’t in the size of your strategy,
 or the title you built it under.
 It’s the wisdom you earned by becoming yourself under pressure—then choosing who you’ll become on your own terms.

The next chapter won’t be more of the same.
 But it will be truer.
