Welcome to Twenty-One Medical, where passion for orthopedic care meets expertise in general medicine. Founded by Shawn, a seasoned board-certified Physician Assistant, and Athletic Trainer, Twenty-One Medical provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Charlotte community and beyond.

With over two decades of clinical and surgical experience specializing in orthopedics, Shawn brings a wealth of knowledge in treating orthopedic conditions and sports-related injuries. His journey began at the University of Miami, where he earned his Masters of Science in Education in Sports Medicine, laying the foundation for his healthcare career. Later, he pursued his passion at Nova Southeastern University, graduating as a Physician Assistant with a Masters of Public Health.

Throughout his career, Shawn has worked tirelessly to refine his skills, catering to athletes of all levels, from grassroots to elite professionals. His extensive experience in orthopedics, both in clinical settings and the operating room, has equipped him with a unique understanding of musculoskeletal health.

In addition to his specialization in orthopedics, Shawn has spent the last year, and a half immersed in family medicine and urgent care settings. This diverse experience has broadened his scope of practice, allowing him to address a wide range of medical conditions with confidence and expertise.

Beyond his professional achievements, Shawn’s roots run deep in the Charlotte community, where he has resided for over 15 years. As a proud father of two daughters and a former member of the United States Marine Corps, Shawn embodies dedication, discipline, and compassion in all aspects of his life.
