Our Story

We are family owned and operated for over 90 years and supply some of the largest apparel manufacturers and retailers in the world. R.T. Barbee has always strived for the best service and quality products at competitive prices.

Our History

Established in 1925, R.T. Barbee Company was originally launched to sell printing equipment and supplies to the public-school systems. The company was purchased in 1961 by John L. Schrum, Jr. and began selling printed forms to the apparel industry.

During the year 2005 we focused on improving manufacturing efficiencies; which has allowed our expansion into Central America, Canada and the Caribbean. Today we proudly serve our customers in over 10 countries.

We manufacture all our printed goods in house at our US home office in Charlotte, NC, and ship through our distribution facilities in Central America.

Our Direction

R.T. Barbee is experiencing major growth in the domestic retail market by way of pharmacies, convenience stores, grocery stores and other retailers. Our manufacturing of laser and continuous shelf tags/labels is becoming a major part of our company. We have expanded our manufacturing capabilities in the first quarter of 2011 by purchasing new equipment. We are excited and optimistic about the growing shelf tag/label market.

We communicate critical information to our customers through our efficient distribution network. Our global platform allows for locally inventory which enables quick and cost-effective delivery of our product. Our distribution network paired with local representation ensures smooth implementation from start to finish. We are currently selling to customers in over 10 countries including: Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Canada.

Shelf Labels

R.T. Barbee now offers shelf tags to domestic distribution services, convenience stores pharmacies and retailers. We specialize in custom configurations on tag, pressure sensitive and vinyl stocks.

Our capabilities include the following:

• Tag stock perforated lases sheets
• Pressure sensitive repositionable / permanent/ removable laser sheets
• Vinyl laser sheets with a removable adhesive
• Continuous pin fed applications in tag stock, pressure sensitive and vinyl are also available.

All of our forms can be produced and packaged to meet your specific requirements. Working directly with you we are able to put together a production plan to provide you with warehoused product for same day shipping. Whether you are using one thousand sheets a year or millions we will make the ordering and delivery process seamless.

Apparel Production Control Forms

Working with the cut and sew industry for over 50 years R.T. Barbee understands the importance of providing top quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Our production control forms are of the highest quality and are tailors to each individual sewing manufacturer’s specifications and needs.

Commonly called Bundle Tickets, Production Tickets, Incentive Tickets, Payroll Coupons as well as many other names we recognize the importance of these forms and how they are instrumental to the manufacturing process. Our forms not only have to be durable, but visible to deal with the constant moving of bundles on the plant floor.

Working with our suppliers we have developed a pressure sensitive ticket adhesive that is specially formulated for our forms. This helps your pressure sensitive tickets move through the manufacturing facility without having coupons fall off prematurely.

We also manufacture production tickets in tag stock and can customize perforation configurations and coupon sizes.

We keep millions of forms in stock for same day shipping to ensure that our customers always have what they need.

Gum & Bond Coupon Holders for the Apparel Industry

A specially formulated adhesive for our dry gum material is used with durability and adhesion in mind. These gum sheets are used with our tag stock tickets and ensures no production coupon will be lost. Both our gum and bond sheets can be customized in size and artwork to suit your needs. Several stock production sheets are also available in bond and gum papers.
