2006

• Victory Real Estate Sales, Inc. is founded in Wilmington, NC, with $10,000 and a single customer. The company remains family-owned and based in the Cape Fear area.

2007

• Victory Real Estate, Inc. removes "Sales" from its name and predicts the coming housing downturn. The company exits the sales industry with well-documented insights on what is to come.

2010

• The company launches its first expansion in Raleigh, NC, a market soon to become a world leader in real estate. Victory establishes itself as a service and innovation leader, helping modernize the Raleigh rental market.

2013

• The company’s first and most senior staff member departs, leaving the team with a combined staff experience (excluding the founder) of just one year—one of the company’s most vulnerable moments.
• MoveZen’s housing logistics idea is soft-launched, intended to function as a business-to-business model where the company leverages its industry-leading marketing and leasing skills to assist other property management companies.

2014

• Victory acquires and merges with Southern Retreats LLC, a leading competitor in the Wilmington, NC market. This move doubles the company’s size and increases its combined experience level.
• The MoveZen Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2024, Alisha Robbins, joins the company as a weekend intern.
• Expansion becomes a top priority, and MoveZen Logistics is set aside until 2023.

2016

• Hurricane Matthew batters Wilmington, NC, and large portions of Wake County, impacting the still-young first expansion location. The two offices combine resources, support each other, and deliver an exceptional post-disaster performance—the first of many.

2018

• Victory Property Management expands into Charlotte, NC, marking its first major metro test. With new locations come crucial new team members and entry into another nationally leading housing market.
• Hurricane Florence threatens massive damage in the company’s two main markets as a fast-moving Category 4 storm. The worst is averted, but customers suffer tremendously, making it the company’s largest disaster to date.

2019

• 100% growth rate over five years begins and accelerates even further during the pandemic-era challenges.

2020

• Housing transforms overnight as COVID-19 disrupts the world, particularly impacting small businesses and the housing market. Despite brutal conditions, MoveZen’s team remains poised, prepared, and executes with stunning effectiveness in a truly unprecedented environment.

2021

• Victory (not yet MoveZen) accelerates. The company successfully launches into two new cities—Greensboro, NC, and Winston-Salem, NC—despite ongoing COVID-era challenges.

2023

• MoveZen makes a major leap, becoming a multi-state, regional player in property management. It ranks in the top 5% of the industry by locations (Buildium 2023 Industry Report).
• MoveZen expands into South Carolina.
• The company undergoes a complete corporate restructuring to address inflation, staffing challenges, and lingering COVID-related issues, such as increased maintenance demands. Hybrid roles are eliminated, and operations are divided into three major divisions: field operations, management, and technical support.

Victory Real Estate Sales, Inc. officially evolves into MoveZen, reinforcing its commitment to customer service and resident satisfaction amid an unprecedented housing industry upheaval. MoveZen's story began 17 years ago, with the name introduced 10 years prior.

MoveZen representatives serve as expert witnesses in a major NC housing safety lawsuit, likely to have significant implications for state housing safety and habitability laws.

MoveZen incorporates in Virginia, opening a location in Richmond, VA, with plans to expand up the I-95 corridor into Washington, D.C.
