Faiyaz Freedom to Breathe Foundation
Jeanette Wood is the Executive Director of Faiyaz Freedom to Breathe Foundation (FFBF) and the mother of Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum, R&B sensation, Brent Faiyaz.
FFBF fully recognizes that women entrepreneurs often face significant barriers entering the business world, so we’ve launched an annual grant for women called, “Show U Off”. FFBF is committed to empowering women by providing them with funding, training, and mentorship they need to establish and grow their businesses.
About Us
At the Faiyaz Freedom to Breathe Foundation (FFBF), we are committed to eliminating inequalities and hardships within underserved, minority communities. We aim to forge and strengthen partnerships with agencies, coalitions, and grassroots efforts that share our vision of a more equitable society.
Mission Statement:
The Faiyaz Freedom to Breathe Foundation (FFBF) is dedicated to empowering underserved minority communities by fostering creativity and forging partnerships that eliminate inequalities and hardships.
Goal:
Nutrition, clean air, shelter, and clothing are vital to everyone’s survival; it is our desire to
assist women and their families with these basic needs.
We achieve this through a variety of programs, including assisting with transitional housing for families facing homelessness, youth programs for children from low-income households, empowering women to establish and grow their small businesses, and advocacy initiatives that educate and mobilize our community.

Exceptional leaders that have what it takes
The Faiyaz Freedom to Breathe Foundation team is a passionate and dedicated group of individuals, united by a common goal to empower communities and improve lives by addressing socio-economic challenges faced by underserved, minority populations. We champion self-discovery, artistic expression, and entrepreneurial success for youth and women.
