As CEO of Cynergence, Frederic advises and supports CEOs and senior executives around the world in structuring and managing cybersecurity strategies. He has worked across diverse industries, including banking, insurance, transportation, manufacturing, high-tech, telecommunications, and entertainment. As an Executive Director at EY, his previous role allowed him to lead multiple cybersecurity transformations for international companies.

Frederic has also been Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for an international telecommunications company, where he developed and deployed advanced cybersecurity strategies, enhancing the company's security capabilities and ensuring compliance with critical infrastructure regulations in the USA and Canada.

His academic credentials include advanced studies at Harvard Business School and Harvard University, focusing on data privacy, cyber risk management, and coaching high-performance teams. He holds a BS in IT Management from a French university, complemented by multiple international security certifications (C-CISO, CISM, CRISC, CSSK, etc.).

Frederic is a highly respected thought leader who frequently shares his global insights online and at conferences. He is the author of several IT management and cybersecurity publications, including a best-seller on IT Governance. As a committed mentor and executive coach, he actively supports diversity and inclusion, mentoring individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with neurodiversity in technology.

In 2004, he authored one of the pioneering books on IT Governance.

In 2010, he developed the first unified IT controls for Desjardins Bank.

In 2016, he designed an innovative GRC platform utilizing a risk-based approach.

In 2018, he designed the first Cybersecurity Governance framework based on business capabilities.

In 2019, he established Canada's first gender-balanced security team in an international publicly traded company.
