Kimberly will speak about how she joined the office, her story, advice, and initiatives concerning the city council for the near future.

Kimberly Owens comes from a long line of steelworkers, farmers, teachers, and nurses. She learned the value of hard work and public service at a young age. First in her family to graduate college, Kimberly went on to earn a law degree with honors at UNC Chapel Hill. Practicing law in Charlotte since 1994, she has worked with individuals, Fortune 100 businesses, foreign and domestic regulators, and government entities across a host of complex issues. During the meeting, Kimberly will discuss her journey from a local advocator to a key decision maker on the City of Charlotte Council, and city initiatives.
