We will help The Barn celebrate Earth Day & their sustainable initiatives during their 'Clean the Queen' week. WIB has partnered with Envision Charlotte to provide an immersive and engaging experience that builds community\, has purpose\, and serves through the art of weaving.Women In Business Service Day at The Innovation Barn\nDate: April 19\, 2023Time: 10:00 - 12:30 pmLocation: Envision Charlotte\n932 Seigle Ave\nCharlotte\, NC 28205Free for members and $15 for non-members\n\nEnvision Charlotte & The Innovation Barn has partnered with Goodwill to divert t-shirts from the landfill. Goodwill gets more t-shirts donated to them than they can possibly sell so unfortunately\, many of them still end up in the landfill. Goodwill has donated some of these tshirts to Innovation Barn to divert them from the landfill by turning them into new products. T-shirt strips are cut into loops and woven on upcycled wood pallet looms to create sound panels. These sound panels are hung around the Innovation Barn to help with noise and also sold as a fundraiser for the non-profit. Many people have bought them as pet beds\, art\, rugs\, or mediation mats!\nPLEASE NOTE: Space is limited\, and we expect to fill up quickly so please only register if you actually plan to attend. If things change and later you find that you will not be able to attend\, please cancel your reservation so we can open the spot up for someone on the waiting list.
