Lions Services, a 501(c)(3) organization in Charlotte that provides employment opportunities to individuals who are blind, is excited to announce its inaugural 3K Walk for Blind Independence Saturday, September 23, 2023. Through this community event, we hope to increase awareness about the incredible opportunities created by Lions Services and raise funds to ensure our ability to provide these opportunities in the future. The Walk is not only a fundraising event, but also a CELEBRATION of the entire community coming together to improve the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired promoting independence. Come make a difference! By participating in this event, you support Lions Services to continue creating jobs for the blind community, to maintain the specialized machinery that allows our employees to perform highly complex tasks, the goal of the walk is to raise $25,000. 

After the walk is finished all participants and volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy the day at the White-Water Center! Participants and volunteers will have access to 3 Pavilions during the walk and immediately after with music and giveaways. (Whitewater Center activities are not included in walk registration)

What is included in my registration: Your registration includes a t-shirt, event materials, and parking. Show your registration at the gate.

The recreational 3K walk is un-timed. The race is for EVERYONE to participate, we will have volunteer guides available.
